Global Reliance is looking for a
highly skilled and experienced Frontend & Backend WordPress Developer
who can handle
complete WordPress development independently
. The ideal candidate must be capable of designing, developing, customizing, optimizing, and maintaining WordPress websites from scratch, including themes, plugins, performance, and security.

This is a
hands-on role
for a
full-stack WordPress professional
, not a basic page builder user.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Development Responsibilities

  • Develop responsive and user-friendly website interfaces using
    HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
    .
  • Convert
    Figma / Adobe XD / PSD designs
    into pixel-perfect WordPress layouts.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
  • Customize WordPress themes (custom or premium) according to business requirements.
  • Optimize frontend performance for fast loading speed and smooth UX.
  • Implement animations, sliders, and interactive elements where required.
  • Maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented frontend code.

Backend Development Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize
    WordPress themes and plugins
    (custom post types, shortcodes, hooks, filters).
  • Handle
    WordPress core customization
    without breaking updates.
  • Work extensively with
    PHP
    and
    MySQL
    for backend logic.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, CRM tools, and marketing platforms.
  • Customize WooCommerce (checkout, cart, product pages, payment & shipping logic).
  • Manage WordPress databases, backups, migrations, and staging environments.
  • Implement strong
    security measures
    to protect websites from vulnerabilities.
  • Fix bugs, troubleshoot errors, and perform ongoing maintenance.

Performance, SEO & Optimization

  • Optimize website speed using caching, CDN, and image optimization techniques.
  • Ensure SEO-friendly website structure (schema, meta tags, clean URLs).
  • Improve Core Web Vitals and Google PageSpeed scores.
  • Handle hosting environments (cPanel, VPS, Cloud hosting).

Other Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and project managers.
  • Provide accurate timelines and meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain version control using
    Git
    (preferred).
  • Document development processes and updates.
  • Stay updated with latest WordPress trends, plugins, and security updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of proven experience
    as a WordPress Developer.
  • Strong command over
    WordPress CMS architecture
    .
  • Expert-level knowledge of:
  • PHP
  • HTML5 / CSS3
  • JavaScript / jQuery
  • MySQL
  • Strong experience with
    WooCommerce customization
    .
  • Experience with
    custom themes and plugin development
    .
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Experience working with
    page builders
    (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg) — but not dependent on them.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
