React Native Developer

EpochClan is looking for a React Native developer with at least 2 years of experience interested in building performant mobile apps on both the iOS and Android platforms. We require a critical thinker with analytical skills to identify and solve complex problems, who is a team player and promotes a collaborative learning culture in the team.

Responsibilities

  • Build pixel perfect and smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
  • Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
  • Diagnose & fix bugs performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
  • Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
  • Transition existing React web apps to React Native.
  • Build Apps and Release to Play Store and App Store.

Skills

  • Firm grasp of the JavaScript and
    TypeScript

language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax
- Knowledge of
functional or object-oriented

programming
- Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code
- Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Code Magic
- Experience working with state management solutions including
Redux
- Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle
- Full understanding of REST APIs and offline storage
- Experience with automated testing suites, like
Jest or Mocha
- Experience with React Native CLI and Android studio/Xcode environments.
- Proven recent experience of publishing and managing apps on Google Play and Apple App Store.

​​Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with native development (e.g., Swift, Java or Kotlin).
  • Prior experience as a full stack developer in any backend stack (Node, Rails, Python etc.)
  • Prior experience working with Mobx for state management
