Music Teacher

Benchmark Junior School is looking for a Music Teacher for its Early Years students. Candidate should be hardworking and punctual.

Key Responsibilities

Music Teaching & Learning

• Plan and deliver fun, interactive music lessons appropriate for children aged 0–5
• Introduce basic musical concepts such as rhythm, pitch, tempo, melody, and dynamics
• Use singing, movement, instruments, and musical games to encourage participation
• Foster creativity, confidence, and self-expression through music

Curriculum & Planning

• Design music activities aligned with early years learning goals
• Integrate music with other areas of learning (language, physical development, social skills)
• Adapt lessons to meet the developmental needs and abilities of all children

Assessment & Observation

• Observe and assess children's musical development and engagement
• Maintain simple progress records and contribute to learning journals where required
• Identify children who may need additional support or encouragement

Classroom Environment & Safety

• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating music-learning environment
• Ensure safe use and storage of musical instruments and equipment
• Promote positive behavior and cooperative learning

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with early years teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff
• Communicate with parents/carers about children's participation and progress when needed
• Support school events, assemblies, and performances involving music

Professional Responsibilities

• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development
• Stay updated on best practices in early years music education

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs40, Rs45,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Rawalpindi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

• Teaching: 5 years (Required)
