Job Tittle: ICU Nursing Incharge
Responsibility:
. Manage a team of nursing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing care to
the patients in the assigned units.
. Ensure implementation of International Patient Safety Goals and Infection Control
practices in assigned units.
. Ensure implementation and effective utilization of EMR in assigned units by respective
nursing staff.
. Visit patients in assigned units to assess the quality of nursing care and to obtain
patients' feedback regarding nursing services, ensuring that issues and concerns if any
are duly addressed.
. Ensure completion of pre and post requisites of all specialized invasive and non-invasive
procedures as per orders.
. Report medication related incidents and adverse effects promptly to SMO and
administrator.
. Conduct internal check of medication and supplies of ICU.
. Participate actively in designing patient education material in coordination with teaching
& training department and ensure its implementation.
. Participate in audits and take action to address non-conformities
· Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the ICU.
· Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care by ICU nursing staff.
· Monitor and assess critically ill patients, providing expert-level nursing care.
· Assign duties to nursing staff and ensure proper shift handovers.
· Conduct rounds to assess patient conditions and care provided.
· Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for treatment planning.
· Maintain and enforce infection control protocols and safety standards.
· Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of medical records.
· Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior nurses and staff.
· Monitor equipment and inventory; ensure functionality of critical care tools.
· Handle emergencies promptly and efficiently.
· Participate in audits, reviews, and quality assurance programs.
. Any other assignment as given by Administration/Management.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Post RN B.Sc.N or B.Sc. General Nursing N with at least 5-6 years clinical experience in ICU
setting as Incharge or Head Nurse.
· Should be registered with PNC. Those having specialization in ICU, ER, and additional
diploma in Health management, certified for BLS, ACLS and ECG will be preferred.
· Supervisory skills to lead and guide team members.
· Should have good communication skills in English and Urdu and proficient in use of MS
Office.
· Those having specialization in ICU, ER, Certified for BLS, ACLS and ECG will be preferred.
· Valid license from Pak Nursing council and registration.
· Strong communication and interpersonal.
· Rotational Shifts (Morning & Evening)
