Job Description:

ORCAFY is hiring an experienced Web Developer with proven experience in custom website building, design, and maintenance on both WordPress and Shopify platforms. This role requires a full-stack mindset—someone who can plan, design, build, integrate payment gateways, and maintain websites for service-based businesses. The ideal candidate understands lead generation principles, can create high-converting landing pages, and is comfortable recommending best practices for complete website builds from strategy to execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Planning & Strategy
  • Collaborate with management to understand business goals and translate them into website strategies.
  • Recommend the right platform, structure, and design approach for websites.
  • Create site maps, user flows, and content frameworks to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Custom Website Development
  • Build fully functional websites from scratch on WordPress and Shopify, including custom themes, templates, and plugins/apps.
  • Integrate payment gateways and booking/checkout systems for service-based businesses.
  • Ensure all websites are mobile-responsive, SEO-friendly, and optimized for speed and performance.
  • Design & User Experience
  • Provide creative design recommendations that align with branding and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with design teams (or independently design) aesthetically pleasing layouts that convert visitors into leads/customers.
  • Implement lead capture features such as forms, pop-ups, and chat widgets.
  • Lead Generation & Marketing Support
  • Develop quick learning pages and landing pages specifically for ad campaigns.
  • Implement lead magnets, opt-ins, and tracking tools to maximize conversions.
  • Ensure integration with CRM tools, email marketing systems, and analytics platforms.
  • Maintenance & Support
  • Perform ongoing updates, backups, and security monitoring for all websites.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Regularly audit site health and recommend improvements.
  • Optimization & Best Practices
  • Stay updated with the latest in WordPress, Shopify, and web technologies.
  • Suggest and implement improvements for user experience, SEO, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, including privacy and accessibility guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in custom WordPress and Shopify development (portfolio required).
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP (for WordPress), and Liquid (for Shopify).
  • Experience integrating and troubleshooting payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Shopify Payments, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SEO principles, Google Analytics, and Facebook Pixel/Meta tracking.
  • Ability to design and develop landing pages for paid ads and lead generation campaigns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with service-based business websites (booking systems, consultation forms, etc.).
  • Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Ability to work with third-party APIs and integrations.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Canva).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs200, Rs300,000.00 per month
