Job Description:

As an Assistant Tax Officer, you will support the Tax Officer in managing the company's tax compliance, documentation, and reporting processes. Your role will involve preparing tax-related documents, maintaining accurate records, assisting in tax return filings, and coordinating with internal teams and authorities to ensure smooth tax operations. You will help ensure that all tax obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (Income Tax, Sales Tax, Withholding Tax, etc.).
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date tax files and documentation.
  • Support the Tax Officer in responding to notices, queries, and audit requirements.
  • Verify and compile tax data from accounting and finance departments.
  • Assist in calculating tax liabilities, deductions, and payments.
  • Stay informed about updates in tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare basic reports and summaries for management review.
  • Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal departments for tax-related documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in tax, accounting, or finance.
  • Basic knowledge of Pakistani tax laws and FBR procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and accounting software.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Rs65,000 – Rs80,000 per month
