Job Description – Mathematics & Physics Teacher

The Mathematics & Physics Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in both subjects, fostering analytical thinking, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of mathematical and scientific concepts. The role involves lesson planning, classroom management, assessment, and active engagement of students in alignment with the school's curriculum and educational standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans for Mathematics and Physics that meet curriculum standards and learning objectives.
  • Teach mathematical concepts such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.
  • Teach fundamental and advanced concepts in Physics, including mechanics, electricity, magnetism, waves, and modern physics.
  • Prepare and conduct classroom demonstrations and laboratory experiments ensuring student safety and participation.
  • Use diverse instructional strategies (problem-solving, experiments, visual aids, technology) to address different learning styles.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, projects, and class participation.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior.
  • Provide academic support, remedial lessons, and guidance to help students strengthen weak areas.
  • Foster a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and respect.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and faculty development programs.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in mathematics and physics education, research, and technology integration.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Education (with specialization in these subjects).
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching.
  • Effective classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to design interactive lessons and integrate technology in teaching.
  • Experience in preparing students for examinations (board/university/competitive) will be an advantage.
