Maintenance Manager

As a member of the Operational Engineering team, the role of Maintenance Manager is to ensure the timely maintenance and calibration activities at Cephalosporin, Tablet, and AED areas to ensure uninterrupted supply of product. The role also involves ensuring validation activities are conducted in a timely manner while complying with QMS, GMP, and EHS standards, executing OEE and process improvement projects, and managing site R&M and engineering OPEX cost heads.

Qualification, Skills and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Industrial preferred) with 8–10 years of manufacturing experience.

• Proven leadership in maintenance management, process optimization, CAPEX utilization, and cost reduction initiatives.

• Strong technical expertise and resource management skills, with a track record of elevating team performance and capability.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking abilities to influence stakeholders and drive change across all levels.

• Fluent in English and the local language, with solid knowledge of relevant government and state legislation.

Responsibilities:

Operational Planning & Executions

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for Cephalosporin, Tablet, and AED departments in coordination with planning and production teams.

• Control operational costs by reducing overtime, managing repair/maintenance expenses, and optimizing workforce deployment.

• Order and manage local and imported spare parts to ensure timely availability and minimize equipment downtime.

• Oversee routine, breakdown, predictive, and preventive maintenance to minimize interruptions and achieve ASP targets.

• Coordinate with procurement and vendors for fabrication, upgrades, and spare parts purchases.

• Plan and execute building repair and maintenance, and monitor engineering risk assessments and self-inspections.

• Manage spare parts inventory and replenishment for engineering stores.

• Conduct, manage, and review calibration activities to ensure adherence to schedules.

• Lead and execute validation activities, including computer system validation (CSV) and related documentation.

• Work with the automation team to identify and prioritize process, equipment, and component upgrades at the site that offer the highest ROI through automation.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve OEE targets, prioritize automation projects, and ensure machinery safety compliance with GES 110 standards.

Strategic Planning

• Analyze and enhance production equipment operations to improve process efficiency and reliability.

• Contribute to capacity planning and utilization forecasting to support operational goals.

• Develop Engineers and Supervisors for succession planning and future leadership roles.

• Introduce and implement new maintenance concepts and technologies to streamline processes and drive cost-effective improvements.

Compliance and Procedural Implementations

• Oversee the selection, training, and development of staff to maximize team potential and meet business goals.

• Implement and monitor performance development plans to enhance individual and team effectiveness.

• Ensure compliance with TP-13 requirements within the assigned area.

• Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedures so that engineering activities are operated safely, support production, and comply with Group and Local regulatory requirements.

• Maintain validated parameters for all engineering systems to ensure consistent quality and reliability.

• Perform all duties in accordance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and practices.

• Provide engineering support for the preparation and periodic review of Site Quality Plans.

• Manage engineering needs and procurement to ensure efficient operation flow.

• Ensure adherence to global company policies, including GMP, ETCM, TPs, BCP, EHS, GQP, and QMS.

• Lead the site's Physical Contamination Cause and Elimination (PCCE) program, addressing risks and ensuring compliance with EHS and quality standards
