The Assistant Manager – Electrical (Nooriabad) will be responsible for supervising, operating, and maintaining powerhouse equipment including MV/LV switchgear panels, Solar Panels and inverters, transformer, 1.5MW gas generator, 660kva diesel generator, and associated auxiliaries systems. The role also includes managing powerhouse shift operations through operators, preparing rotational shift schedules, and ensuring uninterrupted power supply. Additionally, the position involves troubleshooting and resolving electrical maintenance complaints, managing plant air conditioning systems through AC technicians, and ensuring availability of electrical and HVAC spares at all times. The candidate should have hands-on experience with MS Office and AutoCAD for documentation, reporting, and electrical design/drafting purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operation and preventive maintenance of powerhouse equipment including MV/LV switchgear panels, transformer, gas and diesel generators.
  • Daily reporting of Electrical production and consumption log.
  • Ensure smooth powerhouse shift operations through operators, monitoring performance, and ensuring reliability of supply.
  • Prepare and implement rotational shift schedules for operators to maintain 24/7 uninterrupted powerhouse operations.
  • Plan and execute routine inspections, fault diagnosis, and corrective maintenance of electrical power generation and distribution systems to ensure reliability and minimum downtime.
  • Coordinate with grid station for earliest restoration of utility supply during power outages.
  • Supervise troubleshooting and resolution of plant-wide electrical complaints, including air conditioning systems through AC technicians.
  • Maintain optimum stock of electrical and HVAC spares to support uninterrupted operations and timely repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and statutory regulations in all electrical and HVAC operations.
  • Maintain proper documentation of equipment history, maintenance schedules, shift logs, breakdown reports and spares inventory by raising P.Rs.
  • Prepare technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Generate reports, maintenance plans, and analysis using MS Office tools for management review.
  • Support energy conservation initiatives and suggest improvements in powerhouse and HVAC operations.
  • Assist in training and guiding technicians/operators to enhance team competency.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E/B.Sc Electrical) from a recognized institution.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in powerhouse operations and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of MV/LV switchgears, transformers, and power generation & distribution systems.
  • Exposure to HVAC systems and ability to supervise AC technicians effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety codes and standards.
