Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Technician
to join our team. This is a vital role that combines office-based technical support with site visits to troubleshoot and maintain machineries. As part of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance, diagnosing equipment issues, and liaising with support team for spare parts and technical support. This position offers a great opportunity for professional growth while contributing to the efficient operation of equipment across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of mechanical issues in drilling equipment, air compressors, generators, and hydraulic pumps.
  • Parts Management:
  • Prepare parts lists for required repairs and maintenance, ensuring accurate identification of components.
  • Technical Reporting:
  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical reports on the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
  • Customer Support:
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers through email and other communication channels, ensuring that they receive prompt and efficient service.
  • Continuous Learning:
  • Engage in regular training sessions to stay updated on new technologies, product offerings, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, particularly in the drilling, mining, or construction sectors.

  • Additional Requirements:
  • Familiarity with drilling equipment, air compressors, generators, and hydraulic pumps is preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
  • Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and customers.
  • Proficient in basic IT skills, including MS Office.
  • Detail-oriented and organized in handling parts and technical reports.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits as needed.
