Job description

Job Title: Foreign Education Counselor

Location: DHA, Phase 5, Lahore.

Department: Student Advisory / Admissions

Reports To: Director Counseling

Job Summary:

The Foreign Education Counselor is responsible for guiding and assisting students interested in pursuing education abroad. This role involves counseling students about various universities, courses, admissions processes, scholarships, visa procedures, and post-arrival arrangements in countries such as the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, France, and others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized counseling to students and parents regarding study abroad options, course selection, university requirements, and admission processes.
  • Assist students in the application process, including documentation, SOPs, application forms, and fee payments.
  • Guide students on visa application processes and prepare them for visa interviews.
  • Stay updated on the admission criteria, deadlines, scholarships, and education systems of different countries.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with students via calls, emails, or in-person meetings.
  • Coordinate with foreign universities, colleges, and partner institutions for timely updates.
  • Maintain student records and track each step of their application journey.
  • Organize student orientation sessions, education fairs, seminars, and workshops.
  • Meet set targets for student enrollments and conversions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration policies, embassy rules, and education trends globally.
  • Ensure ethical and transparent counseling practices in accordance with company and partner policies.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in international education counseling or student advisory services.
  • Strong knowledge of international education systems (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/student management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Certification in student counseling or international education advising.
  • Experience in working with education agents, embassies, or universities.
  • Target-driven and customer-service oriented mindset.
  • Culturally sensitive and empathetic approach to student concerns.
