Core Responsibilities

• Translate the full operational workflow of the product into clear, structured, actionable product requirements.
• Work closely with leadership to refine feature definitions, identify gaps, and ensure the product evolves in a cohesive, end-to-end manner.
• Understand how different user types interact with the platform and incorporate their real-world needs into product decisions.
• Support engineering by clarifying requirements, defining edge cases, identifying dependencies, and ensuring features work within the overall system.
• Assist in roadmap planning, prioritization, and evaluation of impact vs. feasibility.
• Help maintain product cohesion across interconnected workflows (lead acquisition, qualification, underwriting, submissions, communication, funding, renewals, servicing, admin, automation, and analytics).
• Provide structured reasoning, documentation, and product clarity without bureaucracy or unnecessary ceremony

Required Skills & Capabilities

Understanding

• Ability to break complex workflows into clear, structured, comprehensible components.
• Ability to understand dependencies between functions, stages, and modules.
• Ability to foresee downstream implications of product decisions.
• Comfortable with platforms that have many moving parts, multiple user roles, and interconnected logic.

2. Strategic Reasoning & Prioritization

• Ability to evaluate features using practical criteria such as impact, feasibility, user value, sequencing, and urgency.
• Ability to maintain a clear logic behind prioritization decisions.
• Ability to identify high-leverage improvements versus low-impact additions.

3. Excellent Communication & Requirements

• Ability to produce clear PRDs, requirement docs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge-case outlines.
• Ability to express product logic in a way that engineering can implement without ambiguity.
• Ability to translate vague needs into structured product requirements.

4. User Workflow Understanding

• Ability to analyze how different types of users operate within a process.
• Ability to quickly absorb new industries and operational models.
• Ability to research, interview, or observe users to understand friction points and workflow realities. (Experience in MCA, lending, underwriting, or financial operations is a strong plus, but not a strict requirement.)

• Ability to work closely with engineering, design, leadership, and domain specialists.
• Ability to coordinate feedback loops and maintain clarity between the product vision and the implementation plan.
• Ability to operate with minimal ceremony while still providing structure.

8. Support for a Modular, End-to-End

Product

• Ability to think in terms of full workflows rather than isolated features.
• Ability to understand how front-end, back-end, data structures, and communication channels interact.
• Not required to write code, but must be technically conversant enough to collaborate effectively with engineering.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in financial services, lending, MCA, underwriting, CRM platforms, or workflow-heavy B2B SaaS.
• Experience supporting AI-driven products or automation-heavy logic.
• Experience with startups or high-intensity delivery environments.
• Familiarity with communication-heavy systems (SMS, email, dialers, notifications).
• Understanding of data workflows, integrations, or API-based ecosystems.
