Senior Software Engineer

- Own features from concept to production (database → API → frontend)
- Build and maintain backend systems using Django (Python 3)
- Design PostgreSQL schemas, optimize queries, and manage migrations
- Develop and maintain REST APIs
- Build and improve React-based frontend interfaces
- Integrate third-party systems (payments, APIs, etc.)
- Work on a live system with uptime, performance, and reliability in mind
- Collaborate closely with a small, senior team in a high-trust environment What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of full-stack experience (Django + React preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- Strong PostgreSQL skills (comfortable writing raw SQL when needed)
- Proven ability to own and ship features end-to-end
- Experience working on production systems with real users
- Comfortable working remotely with a distributed team
- Experience using AI development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.)
- Strong written communication skills Nice to Have
- Experience working with or migrating legacy frontends
- Deeper experience with Django, including performance tuning and scaling backend systems
- Strong PostgreSQL expertise (indexing strategies, query optimization, handling large datasets)
- Experience working on long-lived production systems with evolving architecture
- Familiarity with complex state management and performance optimization in React Working Style & Hours
- We’re a distributed team that prioritizes sustainable
working hours
- Work primarily within standard Pakistan business hours
- No expectation of daily late-night shifts or fixed North America schedules
- Async-first collaboration, with occasional scheduled meetings for alignment
- Unlike many remote roles tied to North American time zones, this position is designed around normal Pakistan
