Job Description
TECHMEN Engineering is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Quality Manager with a Mechanical Engineering background and strong practical experience in plastic injection molding and automotive parts manufacturing. The Quality Manager will be responsible for maintaining product quality, managing quality systems, handling customer requirements and audits, controlling inspection activities, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise overall Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities.
- Ensure quality of plastic injection molded automotive parts according to customer specifications and drawings.
- Manage incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
- Handle customer complaints, non-conformities, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why Analysis, CAPA, and problem-solving activities.
- Prepare and maintain inspection standards, quality records, control plans, check sheets, and related documentation.
- Coordinate new product development, sample inspection, trials, and customer approvals.
- Conduct internal quality, process, and product audits.
- Prepare for and coordinate customer and external quality audits.
- Monitor rejection, rework, defect rates, and other quality KPIs.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Tool Room, Purchase, and Management to resolve quality issues.
- Lead continuous improvement activities to reduce defects and improve manufacturing quality.
- Train and supervise QC inspectors and other quality staff.
- Ensure compliance with the company's QMS and applicable customer requirements. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant Quality Assurance / Quality Control experience.
- Experience in plastic injection molding is required.
- Automotive parts manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
- Good knowledge of engineering drawings, dimensional inspection, measuring instruments, and inspection methods.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of root-cause analysis and corrective-action techniques.
- Experience handling customer audits and quality complaints is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
