Role Brief:

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for establishing and maintaining the bank's information security vision, strategy, and program to ensure that all information assets and technologies are adequately protected. The CISO will lead the effort to identify, evaluate, and report on information security risks, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with the bank's business objectives.
  • Advise executive leadership on emerging threats, technologies, and compliance requirements.

(2) Governance and Risk Management

  • Lead enterprise-wide risk assessment and security governance initiatives.
  • Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with industry regulations.

(3) Security Operations

  • Oversee the daily operation and implementation of the IT security program.
  • Monitor networks and systems for security breaches and respond to incidents.

(4) Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with banking regulations and audits.
  • Coordinate with internal audit, regulators, and external auditors for information security reviews.
  • Develop and manage the incident response program.
  • Lead the response to security incidents, including forensic investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Build and lead a high-performing security team.
  • Develop training programs to raise security awareness across the bank.

(7) Vendor and Third-Party Risk:

  • Evaluate and manage security risks related to third-party vendors and service providers.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CISA.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in the banking environment, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of banking regulations and the financial services landscape.
  • Proven experience in managing cybersecurity programs and teams.
