A leading educational institute, Denning, is urgently looking for an Education Counsellor for Denning Consultants.

1. Counsel students regarding abroad education opportunities such as regarding Country, Course, Universities, and programme selection, and career planning.

2. Advise students on application procedures, visa applications, applying for accommodation and preparing students for their studies.

3. Ensure admission and visa procedures along with accommodation and travelling done within deadlines.

4. Provide accurate information regarding the study abroad programs, courses, colleges and universities in the UK, USA, Canada, and Australia.

5. Provide all the information sought precisely by the parent and/or student. Clarifying doubts in filling up of admission form or doubts of any other nature.

6. Share in detail about the course for abroad Education i.e., for Diploma, Bachelor's, and Masters (all streams)

7. Ensure parent / student leaves with a positive word of mouth which can bring more clients and increase referrals

8. Maintaining a strong communication protocol with the candidates through official channels of email, phone and WhatsApp chat.

9. Stay updated about the various study abroad programs offered by college / universities and use the knowledge in helping students

10. Help students with every detail from registration as a client at Denning to flying to the host country, including counselling, application, admission offers, meeting conditions, guiding with all applicable fee payments, visa applications and pre-departure briefings

11. Maintain a proper database of students counselled, and applications sent to abroad

12. Receive client / student details and judge the suitability of the candidate for the course and university of his/her choice and accordingly provide guidance

13. Assisting with activities to promote Universities represented by Denning Consultants

14. Analyse the mind-set of the students who are interested in abroad education and motivate and encourage clients to take up the course

15. Provide a daily report of new candidates that have registered through cold-calling, email, walk-ins etc.

16. Host candidates at all information sessions / trainings / workshops / preparatory classes conducted by Denning Consultants and assist the Lead Counsellor and Senior Management in the execution of the event.

  • Graduates from all academic disciplines have an opportunity to apply, as they can counsel students in detail regarding their specific fields and disciplines.
  • Relevant Expertise in the education industry.
  • knowledge of multiple counseling approaches
  • proficiency in the use of word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • familiarity with online learning platforms
  • 3+ years of experience working as a counselor with youth
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • empathy and sensitivity to others' needs
