Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our fast-paced team and play a key role in integrating, implementing, and supporting industry-leading Trade Promotion Management/Sales Force Automation solutions for global FMCG companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Write, test, and document well-structured code against designs that scales and meets customers' functional and non-functional requirements.
  2. Participate in all aspects of software development activities, including design, coding, code review, unit-testing, bug fixing, and operations.
  3. Participate in customer projects and work closely with architects and functional consultants to design, integrate, and implement solutions that align with customer requirements.
  4. Supervise the development and deployment of customer solutions.
  5. Provide development estimates for project and support engineering activity.
  6. Carry out organizational coding standards and best practices with a focus on Continuous Improvement.
  7. Promote the production of quality software and partner with the QA team to ensure high-quality output.
  8. Tackle and address customer problems and software defects.
  9. Write operational documentation with technical authors.
  10. Collaborate as part of a self-organizing, multi-functional team.
  11. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  12. Communicate effectively on progress and ensure risks and issues are raised early to minimize impact on delivery.
Skills
  1. Agile advocate and enthusiast.
  2. Experience in the development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications.
  3. Deep understanding of software applications architecture and infrastructure.
  4. Experience with DevOps methodologies (CI/CD) and technologies (Microsoft DevOps solutions preferred). GIT knowledge required.
  5. Knowledge of cloud computing, SaaS & PaaS concepts.
  6. SQL performance tuning.
  7. Experience in the Consumer Goods/Retail sector and in specific commercial processes (trade promotions, sales agreement, sales force automation, incentives management, retail execution) will be an advantage.
  8. Leadership abilities, supervisory skills, time management, problem-solving orientation, presentation skills, and a highly collaborative working style.
  9. Ability to quickly learn and apply sophisticated subjects and technologies.
  10. Oriented to detail, initiative with high self-motivation.
  11. Proficient in English (verbal and written).
