Job Overview

Then Avanceon wants you on our team We're looking for an Instrumentation Technician who's equal parts hands-on expert and curious problem-solver. In this role, you'll work with advanced control systems, power solutions, and precision instrumentation—all while keeping safety and performance at the forefront.

What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)
  1. Operations & Maintenance
    1. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pressure transmitters, valves, regulators, and associated instrumentation.
    2. Troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems for performance anomalies and resolve faults.
    3. Conduct calibrations and loop checks of pressure transmitters and valves.
  2. Solar & Battery Systems
    1. Perform maintenance of solar panels, charge controllers, and battery banks.
    2. Ensure power availability and troubleshoot charging/storage faults.
  3. Documentation & Reporting
    1. Maintain detailed maintenance logs and activity reports.
    2. Assist in preparing technical reports for inspections, failures, and compliance checks.
  4. Compliance & Safety
    1. Adhere to industry and company-specific QHSE safety standards.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications)

Education

  1. DAE in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics (or equivalent)

Experience

  1. 5–7 years in a field role within gas utilities or O&M
  2. Hands-on experience with brands like Endress+Hauser (preferred)
Skills That'll Make You Shine
  1. Strong working knowledge of pressure control and valve body.
  2. Basic knowledge of solar charging systems and battery maintenance.
  3. Ability to read P&ID drawings and instrument loop diagrams.
  4. Good troubleshooting and fault analysis skills.
  5. Proficient in using multimeters, HART communicators, and basic calibration tools.
  6. Strong communication and reporting skills.
Other Requirements:
  1. Open to frequent travel to remote field sites.
  2. Comfortable working independently.
  3. Willing to be available for on-call duties or emergency situations.
