Job Description

If you are a proactive individual who lives and breathes data, has demonstrable skills in data analysis and is a motivated, quick learner, persistent and detail-oriented, you are a good fit for the Senior Associate Analytics at CERP Analytics. This position provides an opportunity to apply your advanced quantitative analysis techniques to a wide range of problems in diverse domains. You can expect to significantly enhance your domain knowledge in Education, Health and multiple other social, economic and business sectors while leveraging your existing domain knowledge.

You will be expected to deploy your superior data visualisation and writing skills to document your analysis for sharing with a wide variety of audiences, including donors, funding agencies, government institutions and client leadership; and for dissemination through various communication platforms.

Job responsibilities

• Tools: Participate/Lead the design and execution of quantitative research. Participate/Lead the development of research objectives and design research protocols while ensuring ethical considerations.
• Methods: Participate/Lead developing theory of change and log frames, and select the right evaluation method for projects with an M&E (measurement and evaluation) component.
• Data Collection: Participate/Lead the design of the data collection instrument/questionnaire, help configure the field team to ensure that high-quality data is collected, and help design the process to ensure quality of daily/periodic data collection, including monitoring of the field teams.
• Data Analysis: Analyse quantitative data using your superior econometrics techniques to draw meaningful insights. As applicable, pull data from and combine various datasets, including publicly available and periodically released local and global datasets, to draw conclusions.
• Synthesis: Interpret and synthesise quantitative findings to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
• Reporting and Documentation: Work with junior team members and lead the effort to prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate research findings to stakeholders. Ensure findings are presented in a clear, concise, and visually compelling format.
• Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including CERP internal teams and external researchers, designers, marketers, and product managers. Engage with stakeholders to understand their data analytics needs, provide the requisite expertise.

Qualifications and Skills, and Attitude

• Minimum 4 years of experience and 2 years of work experience for Senior Associate
• Must have led or substantially participated in the full lifecycle of at least THREE data analytics projects
• At least a bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Policy/Public Health, Social Sciences, Business Administration or related fields, from a reputable foreign or domestic educational institution. Masters' degree holders will be strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of Data Visualisation
• Solid grounding in Econometrics and Research Methods.
• Must have a high degree of proficiency in STATA or equivalent data analysis tools, R, Python or similar.
• Exposure to field work collecting quantitative data from the target population will be very helpful.
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written). Good writing skills and the ability to present analysis to external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Skills in creating compelling visualizations depicting the output of data analysis are highly desirable..
• Highly motivated individual with top-notch work ethic and high integrity, exceptional attention to detail - someone who takes pride in his/her work.
• Ability to work in teams and provide leadership to junior analysts.
• Willingness to travel.
