What You'll Do:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Own the end-to-end recruitment process - from crafting job descriptions and sourcing candidates to conducting interviews and onboarding new team members.
  • Employee Experience: Foster an engaging and meaningful employee experience by organizing events, recognizing achievements, and maintaining a positive work culture.
  • Performance Management: Develop and manage performance review processes that encourage growth, accountability, and alignment with Ascend's goals.
  • HR Operations: Handle day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining employee records, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
  • Compliance & Policy Management: Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies while contributing to the creation of new policies as we scale.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor for employees, offering guidance on HR-related issues and conflict resolution.
  • Growth & Development: Identify opportunities for employee learning and development, and coordinate training initiatives to boost team capabilities.
  • Ownership & Innovation: Drive HR projects and initiatives independently, with the autonomy to implement fresh ideas that enhance our team's experience.

What You'll Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in HR, preferably in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Proven expertise in recruitment, performance management, and HR operations.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a knack for building trust.
  • High level of ownership and initiative - you don't just identify problems; you solve them.
  • A passion for creating meaningful employee experiences and fostering a positive work culture.
  • Adaptability and resilience - you're comfortable with change and eager to grow with us.
