Role Description

We are hiring a Business Development Specialist for a hybrid role based in Islamabad. This is a full-time position with evening working hours (7:00 PM to 1:00 AM, PKT) to align with our international client base.

Work Arrangement:

  • First Quarter: Remote
  • After First Quarter: On-site at our Islamabad office

The role focuses on identifying and securing high-value projects on freelancing platforms such as Upwork. Responsibilities include lead generation, market research, and client acquisition to support the company's growth. You will be expected to actively search for new business opportunities, engage with potential clients, and manage the proposal and bidding process to convert leads into successful contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify trending services, industries, and niches on platforms like Upwork, Freelancer.com, and Fiverr.
  • Proactively search for and identify relevant project opportunities on Upwork and similar platforms.
  • Write and submit high-quality proposals tailored to client needs, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to secure long-term engagements and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to understand capabilities and prepare customized service pitches.
  • Track proposal conversion rates, analyze competition, and provide regular reports on Upwork KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Stay updated with platform policy changes, new features, and best practices to optimize visibility and response rates.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and market research skills with a focus on identifying profitable niches and project trends on freelancing platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging effectively with international clients.
  • Proven experience in lead generation, bidding, and client acquisition on platforms like Upwork, Freelancer.com, or Fiverr.
  • 1-2 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in a digital services or freelancing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple proposals and deadlines efficiently.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, SaaS, or software development services is a strong advantage.
