Responsibilities

The Junior Plant Technician is responsible for managing asset maintenance work-orders, ensuring their execution and completion in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The role includes maintaining confidential records and files, keeping track of asset services and spares, coordinating procurement and inventory with other departments, and preparing purchase requisitions using computerized software. The technician will also assist in developing policies and procedures for CMMS, review and edit reports for management, and prepare relevant documents and agendas for management meetings.

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining office filing and recordkeeping systems, entering, editing, and retrieving data related to expenditures, employee timesheets, deposit forms, courier logs, cost reports, purchase requisitions, and supply orders; managing databases and confidential files.
  2. Producing correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and meeting agendas; preparing pamphlets, manuals, and proofreading documents for accuracy.
  3. Handling communication by answering and routing calls, providing information regarding policies and procedures, and coordinating meetings and materials.
  4. Organizing meetings and events, managing inventory of office supplies, and operating office equipment.
  5. Reviewing and maintaining inventory of spare parts and consumables, preparing purchase requests, and maintaining related records.
  6. Maintaining records of goods receiving, payment releases, and contract documents, and following up with relevant departments.
  7. Assisting in preparing monthly utility bills for the Power Plant and performing any other duties assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
  • Education: Preferably a graduate in IT, Commerce, or related disciplines.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in manufacturing or service organizations.
  • Familiarity with asset maintenance management software.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, office supplies management, photocopying, faxing, and document shredding.
  • Skills in planning, scheduling, organizing files, and maintaining electronic and paper records.
  • Knowledge of computer and IT-related software.
  • Understanding of safety, environmental, and operational standards (e.g., OSHA, NEPRA, ISO).
  • Strong leadership, team management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to handle emergencies and work under pressure.
