Mercantile, Premier Apple distributor and Apple Service Provider is seeking a

dynamicFinance Business Controllerto lead and strengthen our finance operations in Pakistan.

This high-impact role will oversee transactional finance, compliance, treasury, reporting, and

cross-functional coordination to support strategic business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transactional & Payment Operations

•Manage end-to-end finance processes: Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable

(AR), billing, vendor payments, and customer receipts.

•Ensure timely and accurate execution of local and international payments, including FX

transactions and bank remittances.

•Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes: journal entries,

intercompany reconciliations, and GL maintenance.

•Prepare Pakistan-specific financial statements aligned with group accounting standards.

3. Compliance & Internal Controls

•Ensure compliance with local laws (taxation, transfer pricing) and Mercantile's global

•Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure robust internal controls.

•Support regulatory requirements including PTA documentation for the Apple import

business.

4. Budgeting & Forecasting

•Provide financial insights and operational data to support budget planning and

forecasting.

•Track actual performance against budgets and drive cost-efficiency programs.

5. Cash & Treasury Management

•Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital.

•Optimize receivables and credit terms to ensure business liquidity.

6. Cross-functional & Global Coordination

•Collaborate with sales, supply chain, distribution, logistics, compliance, and audit teams.

•Partner with finance teams in Dubai and Singapore HQ for reporting, standardization, and

strategic alignment.

•Lead and mentor the finance team in Pakistan.

•Foster a culture of continuous improvement through training on systems and best

practices.

Required Qualifications:

Education

•Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.

•ACCA, CA, or equivalent is preferred; MBA or ACMA is a plus.

Experience

•5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.

•Background in distribution, finance outsourcing, or FMCG sectors.

•Exposure to regional or international operations is advantageous.

Technical Skills

•Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

•Sound knowledge of IFRS, local treasury operations, and FX accounting.

•Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI/reporting tools is a plus.

Compliance Knowledge

•Deep understanding of Pakistan's tax laws, compliance protocols, and trade/import

licensing (especially PTA).

Soft Skills
•Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

•Leadership qualities with a detail-oriented mindset.

•Ability to work under pressure and thrive in ambiguity.
