Job Description:

Sovereign Express Trade is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Import Export Executive to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in managing import and export operations, with a comprehensive understanding of international trade regulations. Responsibilities:

  1. Import/Export Operations:
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of import and export operations, including documentation, customs clearance, and logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Monitor shipments to ensure that goods arrive on time and in good condition.
Documentation and Compliance:
  • Prepare and review import/export documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
  • Ensure that all documentation complies with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import/export activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in trade regulations and adjust procedures as needed.
Communication and Coordination:
  • Act as a liaison between suppliers, customers, and internal teams to coordinate the movement of goods.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise during the import/export process.
  • Provide regular updates to management on the status of shipments and any issues that may impact delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with the sales and finance departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions.
Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline import/export processes and reduce costs.
  • Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of import/export operations.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience of 2 to 3 years in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of import/export regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in import/export documentation and software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in the trading or logistics industry is a plus.
