PAR is looking for a dedicated Senior Research Analyst to join our team in person at I.I. Chundrigar Road, Karachi — ideal for someone with strong statistical analysis, excellent communication and report writing skills, a can-do attitude, and long-term career aspirations. The role focuses on designing and managing research projects, analyzing crop conditions and agricultural commodities data, and developing comprehensive reports. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to produce actionable insights, driving better decision-making and supporting agricultural advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research Management and Coordination:
    • Design and manage surveys for major crops, including cotton, sugar, wheat, and rice, covering intention, sowing, crop condition, and post-harvest data.
    • Standardize formats for surveys and reports, ensuring consistency with organizational goals.
  2. Data Compilation and Analysis:
    • Compile and clean historical data for major crops and agronomist views.
    • Verify and refine data, ensuring year-wise accuracy.
    • Resolve data discrepancies and improve the completeness of research datasets.
  3. Report Development:
    • Create consolidated and in-depth reports for major crops, using innovative formats and methodologies.
    • Develop crop condition summaries, visualizations, and actionable insights.
  4. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Lead agronomy calls, team discussions, and dashboard meetings to review and refine survey results.
    • Work with product and data teams to align research outputs with organizational tools and requirements.
    • Coordinate with agronomists, analysts, and stakeholders to collect and validate data.
  5. Data Maintenance and Organization:
    • Maintain centralized datasets for our data.
    • Ensure the organization and accessibility of research files and backups.
  6. Process Improvement and Innovation:
    • Develop and pilot new survey frameworks and formats.
    • Propose methodologies to enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Economics, Data Analytics, Maths/Statistics, BBA or related fields.
    • 2+ years of experience in research management, preferably in the agricultural sector.
  2. Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in tools like Advanced Excel, Python or other data analysis software.
    • Experience with surveys, research, and data cleaning.
    • Familiarity with MongoDB or similar data storage systems.
  3. Soft Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Highly detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
