Head Nurse

We are looking for a Head Nurse to lead the ward/unit, organize and carry out administrative work, including managing staff nurses and paramedical staff, creating rosters, and ensuring quality nursing care by coordinating with different departments and consultants.

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Arrange rosters, staffing, and scheduling of staff.
2. Check special assignment checklists, nurses' documentation, pending orders, and ensure dress code adherence and resolve nursing issues not addressed by the team leader.
3. Maintain unit par levels (medical & surgical) and crash cart readiness.
4. Arrange clinical rounds in their units and conduct environment checks.
5. Monitor attendance of all nurses in the ward and report to the MNS office.
6. Manage indenting and procurement of ward supplies and drugs.
7. Maintain daily patient census and report critically ill patients to the Nursing Manager.
8. Ensure and implement healthcare quality and patient safety standards as per organizational policies and procedures.

Qualification & Experience:

• Post RN B.Sc. (Nursing) or a generic BSN with 4 to 5 years of experience in leading healthcare organizations.
