Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to fill the role of Head Nurse. As the head of the ward/unit, you will be responsible for organizing and carrying out administrative work including management of staff nurses and paramedical staff.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with different departments and consultants to ensure quality nursing care for patients.
  • Arrange rosters, staffing, and scheduling of staff.
  • Check special assignment checklists, nurses' documentation, pending orders, and observe dress code and other nursing issues unresolved by the team leader.
  • Maintain unit par levels (medical & surgical) and crash cart.
  • Arrange clinical rounds in their units and conduct environment checks.
  • Ensure attendance of all nurses posted in the ward and report to the MNS office.
  • Manage indenting and procurement of ward supplies and drugs.
  • Maintain daily patient census and report critically ill patients to the Nursing Manager.
  • Implement healthcare quality and patient safety policies as per organizational standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A postgraduate degree in nursing or a generic BSN with 4-5 years of experience in leading healthcare organizations.
