General Summary:

This position, located in GAOC, is responsible for performing specialized local accounting activities for the company's China and APAC legal entities. The role involves engaging with multiple stakeholders across accounting and business functions, and supporting activities such as project support, month-end AP report sign-off, local GAAP statutory accounts, tax compliance, and acting as the key contact for AP-related matters in China & APAC.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Project support for global and local initiatives
  • Prepare and sign off on month-end AP reports in accordance with US GAAP
  • Generate local GAAP statutory accounts and manage statutory audits
  • Support local tax compliance and government reporting
  • Serve as the main contact for AP-related matters for China & APAC entities
Principal Responsibilities: Monthly Accounting Close Review and Sign-Off
  • Perform pre-close review of monthly AP accounts prepared under GAAP
  • Support satellite accounting teams across process areas
  • Manage IC AP transactions reporting and follow-up
Local Statutory Accounts and Tax Reporting
  • Prepare internal and statutory financial reports for AP
  • Ensure timely filing of AP accounts with local authorities
  • Support statutory audits and vendor confirmations
GAOC Finance / Accounting Coordination
  • Establish relationships with GAOC and satellite teams
  • Act as the key contact with GAOC for finance functions
  • Work on standardization of AP and ER processes
Process Improvement
  • Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with global process owners
  • Manage ad-hoc projects related to AP/ER evolution
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; professional qualification preferred
  • 5-8 years of experience in AP
  • Experience in multinational corporations preferred
  • International education or Big 4 experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Concur, HFM, TM1 preferred
Required Skills:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with leadership and global stakeholders
  • Capability to manage workload and resources remotely
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS compliance
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate with external providers and auditors
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years in finance, accounting, or related fields
  • Advanced degrees may substitute for work experience (Master's = 1 year, Doctorate = 2 years)
