Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Supply Chain Manager to oversee and manage our organization's supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that ensure the efficient flow of goods and services, from procurement to delivery, while maintaining cost-effectiveness and high service levels. You will manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics teams, and ensure our supply chain is streamlined, effective, and compliant with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supply Chain Strategy & Planning:
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize supply chain operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
    • Forecast demand, evaluate inventory levels, and coordinate with various departments to ensure product availability.
    • Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance, and logistics costs to develop proactive solutions.
    • Create and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers and business partners to ensure continuity of supply.
  2. Procurement & Vendor Management:
    • Oversee the procurement process for raw materials, components, and finished goods.
    • Negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective contracts, favorable payment terms, and quality assurance.
    • Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring that all products and services meet quality standards.
    • Continuously evaluate and select new suppliers to ensure competitiveness and innovation.
  3. Inventory Management:
    • Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet production and customer demand while minimizing excess stock and waste.
    • Implement inventory control systems to monitor stock movements, track orders, and optimize stock levels.
    • Use demand forecasting and historical data to predict future inventory needs and plan accordingly.
    • Collaborate with the warehousing team to ensure effective storage and organization of goods.
  4. Logistics & Distribution:
    • Oversee the coordination of transportation and logistics for the timely delivery of products to customers.
    • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure efficient delivery of goods.
    • Optimize transportation routes, reduce lead times, and ensure cost-effective distribution of products.
    • Handle issues related to delays, damaged goods, or any discrepancies in shipments.
  5. Supply Chain Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain operations, such as delivery times, cost savings, and inventory turnover.
    • Generate and present regular supply chain performance reports to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement.
    • Implement solutions based on data analysis and performance reviews to optimize the supply chain process.
    • Ensure that all activities are compliant with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  6. Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead and manage the supply chain team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the supply chain team.
    • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., sales, marketing, and production) to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
    • Ensure staff are adequately trained on supply chain management best practices and company policies.
  7. Risk Management & Problem Solving:
    • Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions due to natural disasters, political instability, or supplier issues.
    • Develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of risks on supply chain performance.
    • Resolve any operational issues quickly and efficiently to ensure minimal impact on production schedules and customer satisfaction.
  8. Compliance & Sustainability:
    • Ensure all supply chain operations comply with local, national, and international laws and regulations.
    • Implement sustainable practices within the supply chain, such as reducing waste, minimizing carbon footprint, and using eco-friendly packaging.
    • Stay updated on industry regulations and environmental standards that may impact the supply chain.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
    • Understanding of inventory management systems, demand forecasting, and procurement processes.
    • Familiarity with transportation management and warehouse management systems (TMS/WMS).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to solve problems efficiently and make data-driven decisions.
    • Attention to detail and a strategic mindset.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of global supply chain trends and regulations.
  • Experience managing international supply chains or global logistics operations is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks.
