The Team: You will be joining a highly talented core team of API Gateway Platform Engineers at S&P Global Market Intelligence.

• Design & develop solutions that are highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant, reliable, and self-healing.
  
• Provide engineering solutions for operations problems, develop smart detection capable of predicting system stress and auto-correcting through metrics analysis and remediation strategies.
  
• Build a single pane view dashboard that provides quality insight into systems health in terms of overall health, transaction, latency, throughput, load and reliability score.
  
• Proactively plan, scale, and improve by driving capacity planning, instrumentation, and performance analysis to meet product goals, SLA & SLO.

• Work as part of the API Gateway group to provide software engineering functions to the MI CIQ Solutions Dashboard suite.
  
• Work closely with product owners and technology partners to understand existing systems and support them.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues within the defined SLA.
  
• Work with client application developers to build, deploy and run both monolithic and microservices-based applications on AWS Cloud.
  
• Analyze workload requirements and work with IT stakeholders to define proper sizing for cloud workloads on AWS.
  

• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Java.
  
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Terraform.
  
• 1-2 years of strong experience in AWS Cloud.
  
• 1-2 years of experience in Apigee Edge and the latest versions like Apigee X is preferred.
  

• Apigee Edge platform experience with AWS.
  
• Understanding of Apigee components and infrastructure deployment models.
  
• Experience in defining overall API architecture, API implementation, integration, and deployments.
  
• Hands-on development in Apigee Platform with implementation exposure to policies like Service Callouts, Extensions, Mediation, and Security implementations using OAuth.
  
• Writing OpenAPI specifications and knowledge of Swagger-UI and onboarding APIs to developer portal.
  
• Experience with a back-end scripting language such as Java, Node, or Python.
  
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and NodeJS.
  
• Experience creating, publishing, and managing API proxies and policies.
  
• Experience managing KVM, flow hooks.
  

• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  
• Experience in migrating Code Pipelines to Terraform.
  
• Experience with agile workflow tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jira).
  
• AWS Certified Engineer with HashiCorp Terraform Associate are preferred.
  
• Terraform for IAC deployment with Terraform modules for reusing Terraform configurations, building and deploying containerized applications.
  

• Proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Route 53, ELB, ALB and VPC.
  
• AWS Solution Architect Associate Certified preferred.
  
• Experience with orchestration engines like Kubernetes.
  
• Experience building, deploying, and managing production workloads including applications on EC2 instances, APIs on Lambda Functions and more.
  

• Experience with a variety of open-source databases (MySQL, Postgres, Redis, Cassandra, etc.).
  
• Experience troubleshooting networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTPS/TLS/Websockets, Multicast and Broadcast messaging.
  
• Experience with scalable networking technologies, including Linux, software-defined networking, network virtualization, open protocols, App acceleration, Load Balancers, DNS, virtual private networks and their application in PaaS and IaaS technologies.
  
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals (e.g., filesystems, system calls) and with networking or cloud systems.
  
• Experience in performance tuning OS (Linux & Wintel), JVM, .NET, Core VM.
  
• Experience in designing service APIs using API Gateways, creating, developing and integrating infrastructure, OpenShift, Service Mesh, etc.
  
• Experience with DevOps engineering or SRE.
  
• Experience with monitoring and observability such as with Datadog and Splunk.
  
• Experience using source control (Git, GitHub) and feature branching strategies.
