IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

As a Field Operations Manager, the primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the operations and maintenance of access MSAGs from vendors including ZTE, Huawei, and Nokia. The role involves handling technical issues related to PSTN, DSL, IPTV, and FF within the respective domain, along with addressing and resolving GPON-related issues while monitoring and enhancing the GPON Customer Happiness Index (CHI) across GTR regions. The position also entails managing the operation and maintenance of power infrastructure, including PDG sets, rectifiers, batteries, transformers, and AC/DC earthing systems, ensuring uninterrupted CP and PDG backup supply for outdoor MSAGs. A key focus is on ensuring timely mobilization of maintenance teams for fault rectification and conducting Preventive Maintenance Routines (PMRs) for Access Network Elements (NEs) to reduce outages. The role further requires strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance during daily job activities.

HOW CAN YOU EXPRESS YOUR TALENT

• Handle and resolve PSTN, DSL, IPTV, and Flash Fiber-related issues in the respective domain.
• Monitor, manage, and improve GPON-related issues, focusing on enhancing the GPON Customer Happiness Index (CHI).
• Ensure seamless operations and maintenance (O&M) of power infrastructure including PDG Sets, rectifiers, batteries, transformers, and AC/DC earthing systems.
• Guarantee uninterrupted CP and PDG backup supply for outdoor MSAGs by proactive maintenance and monitoring.
• Mobilize maintenance teams swiftly in the event of faults, ensuring timely fault rectification and minimal downtime.
• Conduct Preventive Maintenance Routines (PMRs) of Access Network Elements (NEs) and analyze results for outage reduction.
• Ensure full compliance with HSE standards during all routine operations and field activities.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve operational issues and ensure service excellence.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Qualification

• B.E/B.Sc. Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer, or Software BS IT / BS CS (4-year program)

Technical Competency:

• Sound understanding of switching, IP networking, transmission technologies, and GPON architecture.
• Familiarity with PTCL's NMS systems for MSAG and NGN networks.
• Basic grasp of field operations, both Copper and GPON-based.
• Ability to analyze and improve service KPIs, especially the GPON CHI.
• Hands-on knowledge of MSAG Power Plants, including PDGs, rectifiers, AC/DC power systems, and earthing.
• Strong coordination skills with external stakeholders such as GEPCO and civic agencies.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and working with databases.
• Excellent communication, team management, conflict resolution, and time management skills.
