We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support our project delivery teams remotely. This individual will work closely with project managers, engineers, coordinators, and our contracts & procurement team to support the lifecycle of construction projects valued between $1M and $10M. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil engineering or construction management, along with strong experience in procurement, contract administration, scheduling, and project controls.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Controls

  • Support Project Manager in day-to-day project tracking, coordination, and documentation
  • Assist with creating and maintaining project schedules (3-week lookaheads, baseline schedules, updates)
  • Use project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 for scheduling and forecasting
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions
  • Track project budgets, cost forecasts, and billing in coordination with finance teams

Contracts & Procurement

  • Prepare and manage solicitation documents (RFPs, RFQs), bid evaluations, and vendor assessments
  • Draft and review construction contracts, purchase orders, and subcontractor agreement
  • Negotiate contractual terms, including legal exceptions and scope changes
  • Lead or support change order management including documentation, pricing, and approval workflows
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual requirements

Technology & Tools

  • Collaborate using Procore (training provided), Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6
  • Document and manage change orders, RFIs, and drawings within Procore
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) effectively

Team & Communication

  • Coordinate with on-site and remote project team members across the U.S. and Pakistan
  • Participate in team meetings, client updates, and internal project reviews
  • Demonstrate initiative by proactively identifying issues and offering solutions without constant direction

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in construction project management or engineering.
  • Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, and project life cycle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and familiarity with Primavera P6.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to work during U.S. business hours (evening/night shifts in Pakistan)

Preferred:

  • Experience with Procore or other construction management platforms.
  • Familiarity with AIA contracts and U.S. construction practices.
  • Prior experience working with U.S.-based construction firms or international projects.
  • PMP or similar certification is a plus.
