Role Overview:

The Brand Manager will be the face and voice of SmartBenefits, responsible for creating strategies and experiences that connect people to our brand. From managing events and partnerships to leading campaigns, case studies, and brand activations, this role requires someone who can combine creativity with execution and vision with detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Building & Strategy

  • Design and implement a comprehensive brand strategy aligned with the company vision.
  • Define and manage the brand's identity, tone, and positioning across all channels.
  • Lead brand storytelling initiatives—from thought-leadership content to employer branding.
  • Come up with and write case studies as gated/exclusive content to strengthen brand authority and generate leads.

Events & Partnerships

  • Plan, organize, and execute corporate events, industry conferences, and brand activations.
  • Represent SmartBenefits as a brand ambassador at events, speaking engagements, and networking sessions.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with associations, media, and industry leaders to expand brand presence.

Campaigns & Communication

  • Lead integrated brand campaigns (digital + offline) to enhance brand awareness.
  • Oversee the development of brand assets, creative designs, and promotional materials.
  • Own PR strategy by securing media opportunities, amplifying SmartBenefits' achievements, and building a strong brand voice across press and industry platforms.
  • Have a knack for getting SmartBenefits placed in earned media, with proven examples of successfully achieving coverage.

Research & Insights

  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify new branding opportunities.
  • Track brand health metrics, analyze campaign performance, and provide actionable insights.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Sales, Product, and HR teams to ensure consistent brand alignment.
  • Support internal branding initiatives to strengthen company culture and employee engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration, or related field (Master's is a plus).
  • 4+ years of proven experience in brand management, marketing, or corporate communications.
  • Strong expertise in event management, campaign execution, and corporate branding.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Creative thinker with strong storytelling abilities.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, social media strategy, and branding tools.
  • Experience in creating compelling case studies and gated content.
  • Demonstrated success in securing earned media placements with measurable results.
  • Self-starter with strong project management and multitasking abilities.
