Overview:

  • We are looking for a talented Junior Shopify & WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for web development, a good understanding of Shopify and WordPress platforms, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. You will assist in developing, customizing, and maintaining eCommerce and business websites for our clients.

Responsibilities:

Shopify Development:

  • Assist in building and customizing Shopify themes.
  • Work with Shopify Liquid to enhance store functionality.
  • Configure and optimize Shopify apps and plugins.
  • Assist in integrating third-party tools like Klaviyo, Reviews.io, and payment gateways.

WordPress Development:

  • Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Work with Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg for custom page building.
  • Optimize WordPress websites for speed, security, and SEO.
  • Troubleshoot and fix WordPress-related issues.

General Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and senior developers on projects.
  • Ensure websites are responsive, user-friendly, and optimized for performance.
  • Troubleshoot and debug website issues as they arise.
  • Keep up with industry trends and best practices in web development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Basic to intermediate experience with Shopify Liquid and WordPress PHP development.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Familiarity with Shopify apps and WordPress plugins.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and site optimization.
  • Experience with version control (Git) is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug website issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with WooCommerce for eCommerce projects.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing tools is a plus.
  • Previous freelance or internship experience in Shopify/WordPress development.
