Maintenance & Planning Engineer

Job Purpose

To ensure smooth planning and execution of maintenance activities in line with other stakeholders along with providing support for smooth operation of machines. To supervise the maintenance activities in the Production area, & provide support for the smooth operation of machines.

Education, Experience & Skills

• B.E / B.S / MSc (Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical) is required for this role.
• 4-5 years of experience in maintenance / operational engineering for pharmaceutical or FMCG machines and equipment is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly and collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues related to equipment maintenance and operational efficiency.
• Effectively lead, inspire, and manage a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Maintenance Planning

• Oversee and optimize CMMS usage for all maintenance activities.
• Plan equipment maintenance aligned with production schedules and capacity.
• Manage asset criticality assessments and maintain reliability data for planning.
• Ensure availability of spare parts and participate in annual CAPEX planning.
• Support the design and implementation of engineering improvements and process efficiencies.
• Develop strategies for process simplification and maintenance effectiveness.

Operational Maintenance & Production Support

• Drive adherence to preventive maintenance schedules and timely work order closures via CMMS.
• Ensure smooth operation of machines, reducing breakdowns and meeting OEE targets.
• Lead cost-saving initiatives and support machine capacity enhancements.
• Facilitate integration of new equipment and oversee mechanical upgrades.
• Provide technical direction and training to junior staff and ensure performance development.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure daily compliance with EHS, quality standards, and legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all maintenance activities and projects validations and qualifications.
• Manage contract staff and facility maintenance as per regulatory standards.

People Management

• Oversee team training, development, and performance planning.
• Foster a collaborative and professional work environment.
