Program Description (Background)Job Description
Job Summary:The Community Health Outreach Promoter will be responsible for the successful implementation of health, hygiene promotion, education, and awareness components of the program in the target areas of International Medical Corps. The Promoter works within the local community to promote engagement in health issues.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:- Build partnerships with key stakeholders and community members.
- Coordinate with program staff for project implementation.
- Conduct awareness sessions and outreach activities to inform community members about available services.
- Facilitate and organize community awareness sessions on health basics and key activities at IMC health facilities.
- Assist the community in passing their complaints to management through CBFRM transparently.
- Act respectfully and culturally sensitively towards colleagues and the community.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Secondary School Certificate / Matric
- Previous experience as a Community Volunteer
- Awareness of local culture and languages
