Functional Tester / Analyst

Job Summary:

QMCC. is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Functional Tester / Analyst to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the CRO Manager, you will be crucial in ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of our diverse e-commerce websites built on Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce platforms. You will be responsible for daily testing activities, identifying issues, and collaborating closely with the development and Category / Product Management teams to maintain a high-quality online shopping experience and support conversion rate optimization efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily functional testing of our websites across Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce platforms to ensure all features and functionalities work as intended.
• Conduct daily checks on key performance indicators, such as page load times and responsiveness, across different devices and browsers.
• Verify product availability and accurate inventory display on product pages and throughout the site, working closely with the Product Management team to address discrepancies.
• Assess product categories to ensure they are populated with the correct and expected number of products, liaising with the Category Management team as needed.
• Execute comprehensive testing of the entire customer purchase funnel, from browsing and adding items to the cart through checkout and order confirmation.
• Identify, document, and report bugs, errors, and inconsistencies in website functionality, performance, and user interface using [mention specific bug tracking tool if applicable, e.g., Jira, Asana].
• Collaborate closely with development, design, and product teams to communicate testing findings, prioritize issues, and verify bug fixes. Regularly report testing status and key findings to the CRO Manager.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of detailed test cases and test plans based on business requirements, often informed by insights from CRO and Product teams.
• Provide analytical feedback on website usability and potential areas for improvement within the user flow, contributing insights to CRO initiatives.
• Participate in regression testing cycles following website updates or new feature deployments.
• Stay informed about updates and best practices for Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce platforms relevant to testing.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in functional testing, quality assurance, or a related role, preferably within an e-commerce environment.
• Familiarity with testing websites built on platforms like Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or similar e-commerce systems.
• Experience with manual testing techniques and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of the typical e-commerce customer journey and purchase funnel.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle inconsistencies or errors.
• Strong analytical skills to assess website performance and user flow issues.
• Experience with bug tracking tools [mention specific tools if required].
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical team members, including reporting to management and collaborating with product teams.
• Ability to manage daily testing routines and prioritize tasks effectively.
