As a Network Planning and Design Manager at Vision Telecom, you'll be the tech brain behind our network. You'll make sure our network is super fast, can handle lots of users, and is safe from hackers. You'll be in charge of keeping everything running smoothly and fixing any problems that pop up. You'll also use your tech smarts to find ways to make our network even better.

• Design and Implementation: Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers, to meet the organization's requirements and standards.
• Network Optimization: Continuously monitor and analyze network performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance reliability, speed, and efficiency.
• Security Management: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect the organization's network infrastructure from cyber threats, including intrusion detection and prevention systems, firewalls, and access controls.
• Systems Administration: Manage and maintain servers, operating systems, and virtualization platforms to ensure optimal performance, availability, and resource utilization.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced technical support to diagnose and resolve complex network and systems issues, including troubleshooting connectivity, performance, and security issues.
• Documentation and Compliance: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, diagrams, and procedures related to network architecture, configurations, and protocols. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and security, to coordinate network and systems projects, share knowledge, and drive initiatives forward. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco networking devices, including routers (e.g., Cisco ISR series, ASR series), switches (e.g., Catalyst series, Nexus series), and firewalls (e.g., FortiGate, Cisco ASA, Firepower NGFW).
• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, for deploying and managing virtualized network environments.
• Hands-on expertise in configuring and managing network services and protocols on different operating systems, including Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and VMware ESXi.
• Familiarity with network security concepts and technologies, such as intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), next-generation firewalls (NGFW), VPN solutions, and secure access controls.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing high-availability network architectures using redundancy and failover mechanisms across diverse Cisco, Fortinet, and VMware platforms.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Cacti, and Wazuh, for monitoring network performance, analyzing traffic patterns, and troubleshooting issues.
• Expertise in liaison with Pakistan Telecom Authorities (PTA) regarding Critical Telecom Data and Infrastructure Security Regulations (CTDISR), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
• Proficiency in managing VoIP servers, including Class-5 switches (such as Hipertel & A2B) and Class-4 switch for SS7 management, ensuring smooth operation of voice services and adherence to industry standards and protocols.
• Candidates with diverse hands-on experiences with Cisco, Fortinet, VMware, and similar devices across different models, as well as expertise in managing VoIP servers and SS7 management, will be well-prepared to excel in the role.
