The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for supporting the development organization to seamlessly deliver scalable and highly reliable software at an accelerated pace with high quality. The team operates in a flexible agile model to manage the various on-premise and cloud environments ensuring the smooth operation of the delivery pipeline. The person in this role is expected to bring in-depth knowledge and experience in the DevOps space including expertise with Automation, CI/CD, Build & Release Management, installation and patching automation and Cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities & Technologies:

1. Become an SME on our business product and support it to ensure it is reliable and secure.
2. Closely work with internal networking and external clients for environment integrations.
3. Lead key DevOps Initiatives for specific products.
4. Manage and Support cloud development environments.
5. Provision and Manage Cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
6. Collaborate with Engineering teams in an Agile environment to remove roadblocks and facilitate successful delivery of work items.
7. Proactively share knowledge on DevOps best practices, tools, and emerging technologies.
8. Knowledge of Change Management Procedures (i.e., Service Now).
9. Identify opportunities for automation and implement innovative solutions to drive efficiencies, simplicities, and speed.
10. Participate in long-term strategies for scalability, stability, and high availability of the platform.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience as Developer/SysAdmin/DevOps engineer.
2. Experience with several open-source tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Git, etc.).
3. Strong expertise in Jenkins.
4. Experience with some programming languages such as Java, C#, and scripting languages such as Python, Perl.
5. Strong experience with Red Hat Linux. Must feel comfortable with shell scripting.
6. Strong expertise in AWS, managing cloud infrastructure, and writing CloudFormation.
7. Experience operating with observability tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, CloudWatch, or GCP Cloud logging.
8. Ability to influence and provide technical direction to the members of the agile team.
9. Proactive team player with the ability to work in a globally dynamic environment.
10. Ability to handle multiple tasks/subprojects simultaneously, organizational skills.
11. Good written and oral communication skills.
12. Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, computer science degree preferred.
13. Fundamental knowledge of load balancers, firewalls, TCP/IP protocols.
14. Solid knowledge of web architectural and design patterns.
