
Assisting Director of Marketing Operations

We are seeking the Director of Marketing Operations to lead the strategy, technology, and processes that power our marketing organization. This role is responsible for driving efficiency, scalability, and alignment across marketing, sales, and IT. The Director of Marketing Operations will own the MarTech stack, ensure data integrity, and optimize workflows that enable the marketing team to execute campaigns, measure performance, and accelerate business growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, data-driven operator, and collaborative leader who can bridge teams and deliver measurable impact.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing operations strategy aligned with business and revenue goals.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CMO/VP of Marketing, providing data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of marketing operations professionals.
- Manage the marketing operations budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Own and manage the marketing technology ecosystem, including automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot), CRM systems (Salesforce), and supporting tools (intent data, CMS, analytics).
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize new technologies to enhance marketing performance and efficiency.
- Ensure seamless integration of platforms and maintain a single source of truth for marketing and sales data.
- Design, document, and enforce scalable processes across the marketing funnel—from lead generation to sales handoff.
- Standardize campaign setup, execution, and reporting to improve speed and accuracy.
- Partner with sales operations to establish lead management frameworks, including scoring, routing, and qualification criteria.
- Implement and oversee project management systems for streamlined execution.
- Define and track key marketing metrics and KPIs (e.g., MQLs, SQLs, pipeline contribution, ROI).
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for visibility into campaign and organizational performance.
- Ensure data accuracy and cleanliness within CRM and automation platforms.
- Use analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization.
- Partner with analytics teams to develop advanced attribution models.
- Act as the primary liaison between marketing and sales, ensuring alignment on processes, definitions, and goals.
- Work closely with IT and development teams on system integrations and data governance.
- Collaborate with finance to track marketing spend and measure ROI.
- Provide training and enablement for marketing teams on technologies, tools, and best practices.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in managing and optimizing a comprehensive MarTech stack.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation (Marketo, Pardot, HubSpot) and CRM systems (Salesforce required).
- Strong background in B2B marketing, lead generation, and funnel management.
- Experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments preferred.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis and BI/reporting tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
- Deep understanding of the buyer's journey and sales cycles.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (Marketo Certified Expert, Salesforce Administrator, etc.) are highly desirable.
