The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Helper in Off-Campus Hostels.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • ensure cleanliness, hygiene, maintenance, upkeep and safety & security of the Off-campus hostel
  • know all the hostellites residing in the Off-campus hostel and keep the record updated
  • ensure that no unauthorized person enters in the hostel
  • be available to students to resolve their administrative problems, if problems are beyond his scope the same should immediately be communicated to Off-campus Supervisor / Manager
  • ensure that hostellites do not damage property, furniture or accessories provided by AKU, if anything found damaged it should immediately be reported to Off-campus Supervisor
  • ensure pick and drop timings are documented, any delays in transport must be reported to Off-campus Supervisor
  • ensure that the generator is not operated by hostellites and used judicially. Switching on/off timings of generator is properly maintained. While operating generator ensures that all safety precautions are followed
  • ensure that petrol for generator is available in sufficient quantity and proper record of its usage is maintained
  • record the duty reporting timings of Security Guards and if any security guard is absent from duty, it should immediately be reported to Off-campus Supervisor
  • check fire equipment on daily basis.
Requirements

You should have:

  • Experience of working as helper in a house or in office environment
  • Knowledge of Emergency Procedures
  • Ability to follow simple instruction in Urdu pertaining to work responsibilities.
