Opening: Senior Executive Compliance

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Key Role 1: Development of new Management Systems / Standards
    - Evaluation and Approval of New / Revised Management system based on regulatory / customer / manufacturing best practices
    - Detail study and understanding of the requirements of new standards
    - Studies and performs gap analysis w.r.t. the implementation of new standards
    - Develop action plan against the identified gaps and facilitates stakeholders in filling those gaps
    - Conduct gap analysis vs standard and actual
    - Conduct Risk Assessment with respect to new standards
  2. Key Role 2: Maintenance and continual improvement of Management Systems
    - Acts as an internal facilitator for establishment and improvement of ISO 9001 Quality Management System, Food Safety Management System ISO 22000:2018, YUM and Halaal Food Management System.
    - Continual monitoring of all the processes with respect to the management system requirements.
    - SOP development with respect to the management system and revision in existing SOPs.
  3. Key Role 3: Internal Audit & External Audit
    - Prepares biannual internal audit plan based on criticality of the processes and level of compliance.
    - Develop/update audit checklist of relevant department.
    - Conducting compliance audits throughout the company against internal, external procedures, standards.
    - Preparing Audit report; discussing with relevant staff; assisting them in closing the Non-conformities
    - Assist relevant teams for the readiness of external audit and participate in external audits from front.
    - Assist relevant teams for closing of non-conformities and submit closure NCs with evidences to the external auditor and get certification.
  4. Key Role 4: Training & Development: Making Quality Everyone's Responsibility
    - Training of all Company's management staff members on the management systems.
    - Prepare yearly training plan for management and non-management staff compiling and presenting information.
    - Liaising with managers and interviewing employees at all levels to identify and assess training and development need with respect to the management systems.
    - Training required for Quality Improvement as per need.
    - Develop Quality Newsletter / Magazine, training materials for the awareness of staff.
  5. Key Role 5: Customer Complaints & Root Cause Analysis
    - Review & analyze complaint details received.
    - Handling of customer complaint and facilitate assigned person in closure of customer complaint.
    - To ensure that the root causes and action plan are prepared against CARs for effective closure.
    - Participation in review of records / processes and any other details during RCA.
    - Document Minutes of Meeting for Action Plans.
    - Communicate actions plan to Marketing department.
    - Verify the closure of actions for effectiveness.
  6. Key Role 6: Support and participate in local and international food regulatory affairs
    - Understanding of the Legal Requirements and Interpretation of Laws (Local, Provincial, Federal, International and Importing Countries) and conduct Gap Analysis.
    - Support FRA for acquiring and renewal of mandatory product licenses and registration certificates of factories from Provincial and Federal Govt.
    - Participate in risk mitigation of export consignments and technical facilitation of food laws in exporting countries, custom dispute resolutions.
    - Facilitate in artwork inspections against applicable National & International Food Labelling Laws / Regulations.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's in Food Science or related field.
Experience: 2 to 4 years in statutory compliance (food industry).
Skills: Knowledge of food safety management, auditing, and system development.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

Other Details:
Experience: 2-4 years
Work Timings: 8am-5pm
Work Days: Monday- Saturday
Work Mode: Onsite
Location: Korangi, Karachi
