The Aga Khan University Hospital is a not-for-profit healthcare institute that offers all medical services to their patients under one roof. In addition to the tertiary care hospital in Karachi, AKUH has a network of 4 Off-Campus Hospitals, 30+ Medical Centres, and over 290+ Clinical Laboratories, 30+ Pharmacies in over 120+ cities across Pakistan. ResponsibilitiesYou will be expected to:
- actively participate in the teaching and other educational activities at the undergraduate and postgraduate level
- practice and role model quality patient care and clinical services
- collaborate with senior faculty to conduct and disseminate research, and apply for extramural and intramural grants
- initiate and co-lead journal clubs to advance the evidence-based care for women and child health
- coordinate regularly with respective thematic leads to explore areas of clinical innovation
- co-facilitate social continuum of care to advance woman and child health e.g. parenting and lactation education.
You should have:
- an MBBS degree with a valid PMDC license and completed house job
- completed fellowship training in Paediatrics and possess FCPS, FRCPCH, MRCPCH, or equivalent qualification in the relevant field.
- at least two years clinical experience after postgraduation as an Instructor or equivalent and it will be an added advantage
- demonstrated scholarship through research, publications and/or contribution to education
- excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills and ability to handle work pressure
- comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
