Audit Officer- Night shift

The Audit Officer plays a critical role in overseeing internal audits and ensuring data integrity across billing operations. Within a medical billing firm, the role expands beyond traditional auditing to include data management, reporting, file assignment, Power BI updates, and coordination of billing automation processes. This is a cross-functional role requiring attention to detail, strong communication, and coordination with IT, billing, and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Oversight:
Conduct internal audits, identify process gaps, and support implementation of corrective actions.

Data & Reporting:
Ensure accurate data validation and generate regular operational reports for management.

File & Target Management:
Assign files to relevant teams, set performance targets, and track progress.

Power BI & System Updates:
Update dashboards with audit findings and coordinate with IT for data accuracy.

Billing Automation & Fax Rebilling:
Oversee billing automation workflows and manage fax-rebilling processes in coordination with relevant teams.

Experience Requirements:

Preference will be given to internal candidates already trained in medical billing and documentation

Internal transitions are prioritized to ease onboarding and shorten learning curves

Academic Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree (any discipline)

Other Requirements:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PDF readers, and general office tools

Strong email drafting and communication skills

Collaborative and team-oriented mindset

Ability to multitask across operations, data, and technical coordination
