As a Security Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Cyber Security and Technology Controls, you will be an experienced team member dedicated to developing software solutions that meet established functional and user requirements while ensuring protection against misuse, circumvention, and malicious activities. You will implement essential technology solutions using tamper-proof, audit-defensible methods across diverse technical domains within various business functions, all in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot security solutions, applying knowledge of existing security solutions to meet security requirements for internal clients (e.g., product, platform, application owners).
  • Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate synchronously with relevant systems.
  • Utilize specialized tools (e.g., vulnerability scanners) to analyze and correlate incident data to identify, interpret, and summarize the probability and impact of threats when determining specific vulnerabilities.
  • Lead delivery of continuity-related awareness, training, educational activities, and exercises.
  • Contribute to fostering a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Formal training or certification in security engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with React, Java/J2EE, Microservices, Spring, Database knowledge, Spring Data JPA, CI/CD, feature designing, and production issue debugging and fixing.
  • Experience developing security engineering solutions.
  • Proficiency in coding in one or more programming languages.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
  • Knowledge of Camunda 8, database modeling, performance tuning, and cloud technologies.
