Job Title: Lead Machine Learning Engineer (Computer Vision)

Location: Islamabad, Islamabad Capital Territory, Pakistan (Remote to start, then Hybrid)

We are looking for a visionary Lead Machine Learning Engineer to build and lead our computer vision division, architecting the systems that will form the very core of our intelligent platform.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

As the company's technical authority on Computer Vision, you will be responsible for setting the strategy, building the team, and executing on a roadmap that will define our competitive edge.

* Set the Vision: Define and execute the complete technical vision and strategic roadmap for all computer vision initiatives within the company.

* Build & Lead a Team: Build, lead, and mentor a world-class team of machine learning and computer vision engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and speed.

* Architect Production Systems: Architect and oversee the development of robust, scalable, end-to-end ML systems for complex computer vision tasks (e.g., real-time object detection, semantic segmentation, 3D reconstruction, video analytics).

* Be a Hands-On Leader: Remain deeply technical, guiding your team through the toughest challenges by leading design discussions, writing code for critical components, and setting the standard for quality.

* Drive the Roadmap: Partner directly with company leadership and product teams to translate business goals into a concrete technical strategy and machine learning roadmap.

* Champion Innovation: Champion a culture of applied research, staying ahead of the latest advancements in computer vision and guiding the team on what to build next to stay ahead of the curve.

What You'll Bring (Qualifications)

* Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning, with a significant portion dedicated to leading complex computer vision projects from initial concept to live production systems.

* Leadership: Demonstrable experience leading a team of engineers, including mentorship, project planning, and providing technical guidance and direction.

* Computer Vision Expertise: World-class expertise in at least one major area of computer vision (e.g., object detection, image segmentation, 3D vision) and a broad, intuitive understanding of the entire field.

* Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch (preferred) or TensorFlow.

* Strong Foundations: A PhD in Computer Science, Computer Vision, or a related field is strongly preferred; an MS with exceptional, relevant industry experience will be considered.

* Production Mindset: A proven ability to design systems that are not just accurate, but also scalable, low-latency, and cost-effective in a cloud environment (AWS).

It's Better If You Have:

* Backend & API Skills: Strong experience with backend development (e.g., building scalable APIs with Django, FastAPI, or Go) to serve ML models effectively in production.

* Deep MLOps Experience: A deep, practical understanding of the MLOps lifecycle, including building automated training/deployment pipelines, model monitoring systems, and managing cloud infrastructure.

* A strong track record of publications in premier academic conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS).

* Experience thriving in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
