OB Hospitality Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Taxation to join their Finance Department at the head office located in Clifton Block 5, Karachi. This role requires hands-on expertise in taxation compliance, reconciliations, and financial coordination.

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for preparing and filing monthly sales tax returns using SRB, PRA, and IRIS platforms, along with quarterly and annual tax statements. This role involves processing withholding tax payments, payroll challans, and ensuring tax compliance under various relevant tax laws.

In addition to tax filings, the role includes conducting bank reconciliations, verifying purchase journals and payment vouchers, responding to tax notices, and assisting the Manager in final accounts preparations. Coordination with tax consultants and providing tax documentation to vendors and staff are also key components of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and file monthly Sales Tax returns (SRB, PRA, IRIS) with reconciliations.

File quarterly and annual statements on SRB, PRA, and IRIS platforms with reconciliations.

Process withholding income tax payments and claim Sales Tax via Annexure A.

Prepare and process monthly payroll challans.

File annual statements under Section 149 (salary withholding) and Section 165(7) (deductions).

Maintain tax records compliant with Sales Tax and Income Tax laws.

File quarterly advance tax working and provide staff income tax deductions to HR.

Conduct bank reconciliations and verify purchase journals and payment vouchers.

Provide tax challans to vendors and staff, and respond to tax notices while coordinating with consultants.

Assist Manager in final accounts working.

Requirements:

Strong command over SRB, PRA, and IRIS tax platforms.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CA/ACCA part-qualified preferred).

Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant taxation experience.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in reconciliation.
