Position Overview:

As we expand our operations, we are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Manager - Accounts (Taxation) to join our Finance team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring tax compliance and effective tax planning within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the preparation, filing, and compliance of all indirect and direct tax returns (including VAT, sales tax, excise, and income tax).
  2. Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, laws, and procedures, particularly related to the oil and gas industry.
  3. Prepare tax provisions, schedules, and reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  4. Liaise with tax authorities for tax audits, assessments, and resolving any tax-related issues.
  5. Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimize tax liability.
  6. Support in reviewing and ensuring that all tax-related entries in the general ledger are accurate and comply with statutory requirements.
  7. Coordinate with external tax advisers and auditors during audits and reviews.
  8. Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and government policies to ensure the company remains compliant.
  9. Maintain and monitor the company's tax filings and records.
  10. Assist in the preparation of tax forecasting, planning, and budgeting.
  11. Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and minimize tax risks.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • CA Finalist.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the oil & gas or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with local tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Salary: 110K – 120K and performance-based incentives.
