Aga Khan University - Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED) was established in July 1993 with the overall objective of becoming a leader in educational reform and improvement, especially in developing countries. The aim of the Institute is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of schools and other educational institutions in the country through innovation, policy development, practice, training and research.
This is a grant-funded contractual position.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • conduct community outreach and mobilisation activities
  • facilitate awareness sessions and encourage community participation
  • collect data and provide feedback on programme effectiveness
  • support implementation of rainwater harvesting and sanitation initiatives
  • manage and maintain inventory records, ensuring adequate stock levels
  • coordinate procurement and distribution of office and project supplies
  • oversee asset management, including tracking and reporting of equipment
  • assist in logistical arrangements for meetings, training sessions and field visits
  • maintain and organise project documentation, records and correspondence.

RequirementsYou should have:

  • a bachelor's degree in social sciences, community development, or a related field
  • at least one year of experience in community mobilization
  • competent in MS Office, especially data management on MS Excel
  • good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks assigned by the leads
  • ability to coordinate and efficiently communicate with respondents.
