About the Role
Are you passionate about numbers, coordination, and ensuring the right product is available at the right time? We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Planner to join our team and manage stock availability across a diverse portfolio of local and imported publishing titles.
The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Executing and maintaining inventory plans for local and imported titles to ensure optimal availability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Reconciling inventory projections and monitoring actual versus planned stock performance.
- Collaborating with Finance on quarterly budgeting and stock closing targets.
- Generating monthly reports on stock depreciation, cover levels, sales performance, and ISBN-level analysis.
- Working closely with UK and HK branches for intercompany procurement and imports.
- Coordinating with local teams and 3PL partners for shipments, clearances, and title availability.
- Supporting new launches and reprints by collaborating with Editorial, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Facilitating S&OP meetings with data-driven insights and supply signals.
- Maintaining accurate records of sales, inventory, and product transitions (ISBNs).
- Contributing to product rationalization and stock write-off strategies.
- Developing and maintaining reports for operational reviews and leadership meetings.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in inventory, supply chain, or demand planning, preferably in publishing, retail, or FMCG sectors.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data interpretation.
- Experience with cross-functional teams and ERP systems (SAP) is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
- A problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
